Jane Mwende Nguthu, on Wednesday night committed suicide by hanging herself at her house in Komarock, Nairobi County.
The two children, a boy aged seven and a girl aged 3, were taken to Komarock Modern Hospital where they are in serious condition
The police also found a suicide note in the woman’s bedroom in which she claimed she was tired of being mistreated by her husband
