Wahome's take

GOOD Morning. I don't intend to start your day with irritation so let me stick to nothing but the truth.

I have seen many comments many times on this timeline asking me, "are you the only one who meets Azimio supporters?" That is when I post of my encounter with Baba supporters.

The short stories are always true but I like it when I see doubts cast. The answer is No Iam not the only one. Azimions are in their millions, whether I meet them or not.

But the question arises in regard to (1) Azimio supporters in Mt Kenya region and (2) Azimio supporters among Kikuyus whether in Mt Kenya or outside. Those who ask that question are often in denial that a Mugikuyu can actually be supporting Raila Odinga.

But without underestimating Ruto's support in Mt Kenya and among the Agikuyu, let me state the reality as happens to me (and here I mean only to me)

In church I meet two or three people or even 5 who will tell me, Wahome mini ni Azimio. They are all Kikiyus (yes our church is 95% Kikuyu)

In Kitengela streets I come across another 20. I enter a hotel and 2 customers greet me and tell me Wahome tuko hapo. They are Kiuks.

In my inbox I have dozens and dozens and dozens of messages from my fellow Kikuyus telling me, tuko Azimio. Others will not say it directly, they start by telling me how Raila is the 5th.

When I go to Kirinyaga..I must meet over 10 people, all Azimio. I sit in court and someone says hey, then tells me Wahome tuko pamoja kwa baba. He is kiuk.

At a fuel station or even on the highway jam, a stranger waves at me and shouts tûrî Azimio...and so on and so on.

All my Kiuk friends in Kite and Nyeri are Azimio except three. In fact their debate is always on who baba will pick as running mate.

All these are not people out to impress me, they are professionals or just strangers or just people carrying on with their businesses. I remember a guy who found me in a hardware and when the owner told him Iam Baba supporter he responded, "is hapo ndio tuko".

I know you would like to argue that they are out to impress me. No. They don't even say anything more. You are only in denial. When a Kiuk matatu tout tells me in a jam that he is azimio and drives away what interest was he looking for? I know it's painful. We thought doyen would take 90%, wapi.

Let's accept that slowly the Baba gospel are into Mt Kenya communities like Cancer. And you know Raila can only gain in Mt Kenya, he can't lose.. The people who will vote for Raila Odinga and are not shouting about it are way above 40%. You never expected this.
Kateni miti.

If what wahome says is the truth we can assume that about other posts and groups but I usually take it with a pinch of salt

Wahome Thuku is the other world's name for @Mwalimu-G.

Ukweli, there are voters who will do it again and again for Raila. Kikuyu voters. That's not deniable. My own cousin, a mûkûrinû of over 60 years of age and who is a resident of Lari in Kiambu, has been with Raila since his first attempt at the presidency in 1997. There are newer Raila fans, also an undeniable truth.

But swali ni, will these additional votes be enough for Raila, enough to make all the difference that they are yearning for? Last I looked, Raila isn't doing all that well in other regions, too. Western looks slippery and Kalonzo's lower Eastern? Ruto, on the other hand, seems to win zaidi where Raila is losing and, while at it, he has had a firmer grip on his stronghold areas.

In my opinion, Raila's fortunes in the Mt Kenya region would have been much better had he managed to steal the Meru votes. The other scenario that would have been helpful for him is if there was an other candidate, a third candidate, to nibble at Ruto's cake. The all tactful and effective devide and rule tactic. As crazy as it sounds, I think Justin Muturi/Martha karua ticket would have fit the bill quite snuggly.

People are also speaking as if ruto has ever campaigned in central for a presidential seat before

I also don't understand it when they point at some issues that, in my opinion, they significantly impact equally on both candidates but wao wanasema they will be more detrimental to Ruto than Raila. How is voter apathy too detrimental to only Ruto and how will the same be an advantage to Raila? And they ought to remember that there are other positions of immense importance waiting to be filled in that elections as well - mps, governors, etc. It is not like the people will be coming out to vote for the position of the president only!

What can we interpret from the post

1. UDA has contracted the best lawyers itakuwa ngumu kuwashinda

2. Azimio has no chance in a rerun

That last paragragh :ROFLMAO:

Wahome is lucky he was eating from politics, he got to board state choppers, got his pockets lined, others invested their emotions and were getting nothing 😂😂😂, others lost their political seats, by kowtowing to H.E calling him Mugathe and selling his candidate, while knowing that it was like peddling pork chops in Mecca. Horses for courses 😂.
