Police in Kisumu are holding a 34-year-old Runda Primary School teacher who was arrested after he was allegedly found defiling a 16 year old girl inside a lodging at Kombewa, Kisumu County.
Manas Ombok was on Sunday arrested by officers from Kombewa Police Station after they got information from the public concerning the teacher and the pupil.
According to Kombewa OCS Rophas Lule, the said primary school teacher was found in the act with the Standard Eight pupil.
“The teacher enticed and defiled a pupil from the same school who is in standard eight. He did the act in a guest house within Kombéwa,” said Lule.
“He was later arrested and taken to Kombewa police station,” he added.
The 16 year old girl was then taken to Kombewa sub county hospital for treatment.
The suspect was expected to be arraigned in court at Maseno Maseno today.
“The suspect is still in police custody and he is expected to be arraigned in court today,” further stated Lule.
Rape cases within Seme sub county has been on arise over the past months as most of those cases are still in court.
This follows an incident few months ago where a primary school headteacher was arrested after he was alleged of raping a 19 -year- old lady he had employed to work at his cyber within Kombewa.
