So long as what comes in is legit, the more the merrier.

It’s a capitalist economy. Increased supply will (hopefully) lower prices. Look at what’s happening with the prices of Covid testing, from a high of 15k to as low as 3.5k in about 12 months!

actually We all agree GOK has no enough capacity, but knowing this is Kenya, anything can happen. From media reports, the same players in kemsa heist are the same ones in sputnik import, now another one is busy discrediting it, to be allowed to bring theirs, leaving Kenyans with doubts. Even this ban I think it's just temporary, soon they'll agree to share the market and come up with all manner of justifications.

Private sector already procures for itself all other medicines and vaccines. Why is this any different?
How will they distribute that which isn’t there? GoK hasn’t secured and procured much anyway.

In this particular case, I don't trust the private sector. Remember for them it's profit maximisation. Right now demand outstrips supply

Won't that create a market for stolen GoK supplies? Sputnik V has gone through testing and it's being used. I see a lot vaccine propaganda against the Russian and Chinese vaccines.
