Governors who have served for two terms will receive as much as Sh11.1 million as lump sum payment and a lifetime monthly pension of Sh739,200 if lawmakers pass a Bill currently being pushed by members of county assemblies.

I have never participated in any riot or mass action in Kenya as I have always believed that there were other more effective ways of solving political problems.
However given the painful financial implications of this pension proposal to ordinary Kenyans, and all for the raw unadulterated greed of a few good-for-nothing politicos, I am spoiling for a mutiny and a revolt of historical proportions.

How can a class of a few thousand people feel so entitled as to hold 50 million Kenyans ransom and condemn us to a life of squalor, lack and want whilst they enjoy a life of opulence, decadence and debauchery?

Like @mzeiya commented somewhere on these streets, isn’t pension supposed to be accrued and accumulated from personal contributions and agreed percentage contributions from one’s employer? In fact even the most generous employers hardly matches pound for pound on pensions leave alone giving a carte blanche as they wish.
Furthermore there are many companies as well as Banks offering private pensions services. Why can’t they prescribe to such instead of relying on the Government?

I am seething with outrage as I write this that I have come to the conclusion that my presidential, parliamentary and gubernatorial votes will only go to the candidates who will come out clearly, unambiguously and unequivocally against this madness of the tax payer forking out largesse for these insatiable leeches.
These politicians are on a mission to strip bare our enterprise that is Kenya. They are selfishly carving out the best meats and leaving the skeleton for the rest of us.

It is time that Kenyans of all persuasions, creeds and all walks of life converged at the County Halls up and down the country, disrupted the County business and made these people know who is Boss.
I am on my part working on my placard as it will definitely be catchy and will have something less than flattering for these greedy Governors and MCAs.
