Thought for tonight...

OK. Remove the pictures from the story and see my response to @Clemens. An utoe hizo goggles .
So since the pictures do not fit your narrative we should ignore the poor people of machakos na wasitetewe? Isn't it because of corruption in machakos that they are also suffering ama that corruption should be ignored and just focus on what you are comfortable discussing?

If we have people burying their head in the sand like this we will never have a solution and corruption will always be used as a political tool

If you want us to talk about the people of Machakos, create a thread and tag me. I will contribute. Bring your evidence. Otherwise, you are bringing it up here to distract us from talking about Kerio Valley issue.

Kerio Valley has seen a lot of human suffering. It's a water scarce area where running water would have been a big game changer.

Hehehe so it was to whip emotions. Going forward hawa wezi wawili Arror and Jayden watatoana nguo hadharani na tutajua who stole what....tumefika kipindi cha lala salama.....wakirusha tunarusha....it will murky

Munene, this can not wash...You imply that a single dam should serve a who county? Like saying Kisumu has lake Victoria taps should not be dry. Water has to be consumable to be of use to people.
You are agreeing withx my point, although you are framing it to look as if we are deferring. EMC is a huge place, with a terrain that has the wet Highlands (mosop) and dry lowlands (soy) Arror and Kimwarer cannot serve entire county taking a single picture and claiming that it's as a result of the two projects, cannot wash(just to paraphrase you).

Those dams were supposed to serve 50,000 people in Kerio Valley. The projects had been approved. Corrupt cartels and mafia kicked in robbed our people their right to access water. Water availability could have reduced poverty and conflict in Kerio Valley.

Tell us sir why you think this is a simplistic conjecture.
I am in agreement that money was stolen, that's an undeniable fact, the water draining into the Kerio river would have been better utilised, but posting a picture of women drawing water at a risky place and claiming that it's a result of the looting is what I find as a simplistic conjecture, that picture could be of Kalawa in wote for all we know.
The dams were intended for the people living down in the Kerio valley. It's just that the picture has no correlation with his allegations.

I agree that a misleading photo can cause an otherwise good argument to be dismissed offhand. It's unfortunate if the Twitter blogger used such a photo. Nevertheless, I'm happy we both agree on all the other facts of this issue. 50,000 people is slightly above 10% of EMC. These are likely to be the poorest and most marginalized people.
