When i was growing up Karume was one of the known rich kenyans.

On3 thing I kept hearing was that Karume was blessed with wealth BUT the children were all wanting.
People use to say stuff like "hapo hakuna watoto"
 
Mifereji ya corruption ndio ilikauka. Watu waache kudanganyana. Isnt it ironical that virtually all known wealthy people are politicians or close to politicians? My experience has shown me that wakati mtu ako kwa politics or anywhere where stealing govt money is a hobby, they cover business losses using corruption money or direct govt business their way. Waking'atuka ndio mbivu na mbichi hujulikana. The business is forced to generate cash flows to run which we all know aint easy in our regime.
