What informs such a decision... 14% VAT on clean energy and gas while in the same breath say they are promoting clean energy..... Mr Gavament Apologist @Mwalimu-G come explain hii kinaya, and also loss making companies.
That's their mode of operation ,sometimes back waliona big numbers are importing Honda fit and they increased the duty . Some of this things should not be taxed i.e clean energy . Instead wanafaa kuingia mitaani and ensure businesses are tax compliant .I know hardware's hapa mtaani some even with trucks and stock worth more than 20 millions but for the three years nimekuwa hapa sijawahi ona wakitumia ETR system .
Area za CBD some fellows devised a way of not using etr systems by using some locally developed software that outputs to a thermal printer ,the client ends up with an receipt which looks like an etr receipt by it does not have pin details or tax computation . Thousands and thousands of business use that system hii Nairobi .

Budget ya upuss, how can you tax pensions, these senior citizens ,paid school fees for their children up to universities, the youngsters are unemployed, they pay taxes on their hard savings in saccos !
The government should encourage local and foreign investors, create employment ! Sasa ona kamagera kila stage ya matatu , young energetic Kenyans being wasted .
