The story of Wang'ondu reads like a Hollywood script. I think DCI did a fantastic job. If they ahd the resources I would suggest they examine the body of the son who died earlier for any trauma - drownings do not cause this. Any trauma - broken skull, bones etc would mean that he too was killed before being dumped into the family lake.
And the greedy father couldn't even wait for two weeks to ask for insurance money in both cases!!!!!
