He still won’t build the road because doing so would require admitting fault and showing humility. Instead, he shifts the blame onto someone else, and the electorate, unfortunately, accepts it. What they never seem to ask is this: if there’s truly a cabal preventing their whole community from developing, how is it that the same cabal somehow fails to stop their one so-called strong leader from prospering? Answer........ because he is important for keeping the status quo.
