In Pakistan, more than a thousand people have already died because of the recent floods.
Houses, schools, hospitals - almost a million destroyed buildings - have been affected. The government of the country has declared a state of emergency and requested international assistance (Russia has not yet responded).
Rescue workers are having a harder time now: They can't evacuate townspeople who live in hard-to-reach areas. People help each other on their own. The Pakistani prime minister was not sitting still, either - he and the rescuers are handing out humanitarian aid from the air.
