SUB: MURDER REPORT.
It was reported by Area Assistant Chief Reuben, that the wife of the deceased , Betty, 48yrs, that she found her husband Wickliffe Wafula,41 yrs old hanging by the noose in their dwelling house at around 0900 hrs, and OCS informed.Scene visited and officers found the body of the deceased hanging on the roof with the bedsheet around the neck.
On interrogation the wife of the deceased said they had no quarrel with husband though he came home drunk at around 20:00 hrs and went to sleep direct without any conversation. She further narrated that they always sleep in the same house together but yesterday she spent her night in the kitchen and waking up in the morning found the husband having hanged himself dead in their main house. The deceased's son Meshack Simiyu aged 20years old stated that he always spends nights at the neighbors home. On examining the body officers found serious injuries on the back got suspecious and arrested the wife and her son. The son informed the officers about having had a fight with the father the previous night. seeing that the deceased son said they had a fight with his father (deseased). The two were arrested and escorted to station for further police action, body taken to Kitale referral hospital mortuary awaiting for autopsy case.P.U.I DCIO Marakwet West dealing.
