Missing police officer found at KNH after 9 months

Constable Rueben Kimutai went missing in December 2020 after he was to proceed on leave.
Kimutai was posted at Jogoo Road Police Station and seconded to the Judiciary as an aide at the Makadara Law Courts.
The officer had been admitted at the KNH after he was involved in a hit and run accident on December 20, 2020. He was registered as Augustine Neto and taken into the intensive care unit (ICU).
Towards the end of August, Kimutai began regaining consciousness and told doctors his name and also notified them that he was a police officer.
Contact tracing through the National Bureau of Registration identified him as Rueben Kimutai Lel of ID number 6846690.
