wheat is basically a staple food nowadays. Kenya needs to be sufficient in food otherwise prepare more lube. Galana kulalu is now almost forgotten after sinking billions na watu wetu waligula proper.

It's just like sugar whereby it's cheaper to import than buy locally. I think narok and Timau are the only places folks still plant wheat.

This was to translate to more production. But it's the reverse that happened. As @Mtumsafi pointed out, I think it's not viable to grow wheat. And soon maybe it won't be viable to grow maize.

An agronomist will tell you it is very difficult to make any profit from a wheat farm less than five acres.
