Let me give you a scenario happening thousand of times a day in Kenya:
You make an mpesa transaction sending money to someone. In the process of so doing you mismatch their number by a digit and the money goes to a wrong unsuspecting recipient. What most Kenyans do is that they withdraw the money and immediately switch off their phones with the intention of not answering a call from the sender or from Safaricom demanding the money back.
