They really want an imperial president yet the Judiciary doesn't check the Executive. The judiciary is the custodian of the constitution. Its parliament's job to check the judiciary. All the judiciary does is make sure the law is followed.
All the president had to do was follow the law yesterday.

I heard on the news that he sent an advisory stating reasons of rejecting the judges. Let's wait and see if they will challenge the advisory in court.

That advisory should have been sent during the interviewing process when every investigative agency is required to file their report with the JSC which allows the Commission to strike out those with ethical or integrity issues.

If by no fault of his own the NIS or DCI fumbled and failed to file the report in time the remedy is in the removal of said judges, not in engineering a process not provided by the Constitution.

If you got to the market with a crate of apples and discover that there are a few rotten - that should have been sorted out at the farm but weren't - would you still offer the crate for sale as full including the rotten ones because the workers fumbled?

Actually good scenario, but you forgot to tell us what symbolises the constitution therein.

Except the 'rotten apples' are already on Kenyans plate and have been for two years since they were found to be 'rotten'.

Essentially, Kenyatta is condoning 'rottenness' not exterminating it.

There is a process for removal of rotten judges, he should follow that route if he indeed cares for a clean judiciary.
