I really don't know whether our media managers have brain damage or what. So I am supposed to buy a newspaper to read about Raila EVERY DAY?

Seriously?

No wonder they are being eclipsed by the likes of Tuko and vernacular stations....................
They have totally refused to bring in articles that touch on majority youth. Currently, most people don't care about newspapers..I was very enthusiastic in the past and I felt hangovers for not having read the daily newspapers.. not anymore.
Some social media outlets don't shy away from mentioning of names

There are so many good stories out there you have to wonder. Right now the main story is Covid and the Oxford vaccine which we are supposed to take. You'd think a local paper would give us the lowdown on the vaccine - who developed it, why the WHO chose it, its risks, etc etc but no, Raila, Raila, Raila, Ruto, Ruto Ruto, repeat.

Waafrika tuko na shida.................

PS: I saw a story in the Washington Post on the DCI, together with pictures and I was like, why didn't a local publication do this?

Personally, I cant be impressed by anything about DCI coz it's pure bullshit!! Pale Murica they'll be very excited about it coz they think DCI is a serious department. But really, prosecuting cases in a court of public opinion doesn't make any sense. Unakumbuka kinoti akituhadithia vile Kenei was killed and phone data erased? Uliona juzi polisi breaking in to someone's business and looting. Why didn't they write hekayas about it? I just dislike anything by the current and former DCI coz its pure bullshit!!

That said, politics sell than anything else in Kenya. Saizi a politician akiitana he'll attract a very huge crowd despite people being adequately informed that they risk their lives thru covid. Na dvo they used to publish 2 headline gathetis, one for nyanza kisumu and the other for everywhere else.

You are wrong on both accounts but of course you have a right to your opinions. Suffice to say that for those of us who have been around for quite a while, we can see the night-and-day improvement in the work of the DCI. I don't know where a perfect department exists, and whether you yourself are perfect so I won't comment further.

I may be wrong but tell me what is this
What has improved is the PR department. Pang'ang'a tu. I have personal experiences with these people and I can attest it's a total sham.
Nmeishi mahali cyber crime/online fraud is the order of the day. Officers from DCI knows these guys- all of them, but they only come for their share.
Another instance is where some fellows were defrauded about 2.2 million thru fake TSC employement. But someone who was the middleman- unknowingly, end up parting with more than 750k to these officers. It's a long story but I least trust anyone called a police officer....of course with exception of our pamba

They have the Brains but they have bills too.
