In politics, everything is about timing

Hassan Omar- First senator of Mombasa. Was quite popular in 2013. In 2017 he decided to go for the governor's seat. He lost and has been in the cold. He's trying to make a comeback in the governor's race but hiyo nayo hapati. Had he been patient and served senate for 10 years, he probably would have stood a chance.

Bonny Khalwale- Same as Hassan Omar- above. Today he has dropped his bid to be governor and gone for senate. He might get the senate seat but maybe had he been patient for 10 years, governor's seat would be his to lose

Ababu Namwamba- huyu nayeye miscalculated kabisa. At one point in 2014 his star shone brighter than that of Joho and Josephat Nanok. Right now he has been reduced to wearing super tight clothings.

Martha Karua- if she had kept her presidential ambitions aside in 2013, right now probably she would be finalising her two terms as Kirinyaga governor. I like her but if she decides to go for Kirinyaga governor, Waiguru will floor her.

Miguna Miguna- Amejaza matusi mingi sana. But hajui siasa. If he had been patient right now he would have been a very influential person in the Luo community. Remember after Baba retires from politics, the Luo community will not have a leader of Baba's calibre. Miguna would have fit in the shoes well.

Kalonzo- Tamaa ya 2007. He would have sided with Raila. Probably right now he would have been seeking re-election for his second term.

Sonko- he used to call himself the third most powerful politician after Uhuru and Raila. Which is true. He had a big following in Nairobi, Machakos and Kilifi. During these campaigns he would be one of the most sought after politician. But his popularity got to his head. Right now he's dancing with nondescript strippers in his club.

My next door neighbor (name withheld)- He was one of Kibaki's most loyal MP from 1992-2002 with DP. He was a sure bet for a ministerial position in Kibaki's government. But he ate his constituents' money and failed to get reelected in 2002. Kibaki threw a lifeline and gave him a big position elsewhere.

Ruto- Brilliant politician. Was assured of the presidency. But unfortunately he broke the first law of 48 laws of Power- Never outshine the Master. For that he will be watching Raila's swearing in ceremony on Citizen TV this August

Some laws are to be broken outshining your master huwa inabidi Kama mbaya mbaya
Unless your boss is a minnow and you have all the aces. There are bosses who seem to look the other way when you slight them. They bid their time and wait until all the ducks are lined up in their favour. Especially when you make a mistake or fail on deliverable. They absolutely anhilate you!

When you are unhappy with your boss, walk. No one is always right. You might even be better than your boss, but ukimuonyesha matharau, utakuja kulilia choo!
