How to apply and repay Senti Loan

Senti loans in Kenya are offered by RoamTech, a company registered to offer soft loan in the country.

Senti App offers loans from Sh500 to Sh40,000 depending on the customers credit score and listing with the available CRB.

The loan limits are categorised into four levels
  • Bronze - one qualifies for upto Sh5000
  • Silver - one qualifies for upto Sh10,000
  • Gold - one qualifies for upto Sh20,000
  • Platinum - one qualifies for upto Sh40,000
The loans are offered at an interest, which ranges from 17% to 22%, these are determined by the number of days in which the loan should be repaid. If a loan was granted and should be repaid within 14 days after borrowing, an interest of 22% will be applied, while 17% is applied if repayment period is after 30 days.

Requirements to access Senti loans

  • An android smartphone
  • National Identification number
  • A registered Safaricom number
  • Internet access
How to get Senti App

  • Go to google play store and search for Senti Loan App
  • Select an item with Senti logo as shown in the picture above
  • Click on install to allow the app to download.
  • Once it has fully downloaded, click on open to access the app
Senti App will request an access your mobile data, phone number, contact list, text messages, location and photo, calendar, camera and phone identity. Once granted, you will give Senti Loan App permission to call and send you a text message.

Proceed to registration by filling in the provided mandatory spaces. This include;
  • Your full names as they appear on National ID
  • National ID number
  • Date of Birth
  • Phone number
A 4-digit confirmation code will be sent to the phone number that you have registered with, this allows the app to verify your information before granting you a loan.

How to get Senti loans
  • Open the Senti loan app on your phone
  • Click on get a loan
  • Select the amount you'd like to borrow
  • Select the loan period and click on submit
  • Before being approved, you will receive a call from one of their representative to confirm your application
  • If the loan is approved, you will receive a confirmation message from Mpesa and Senti
  • If rejected you will receive a message of the same from Senti
Advantages of Senti loans
  • Once approved, a customer receives loans to their phones within minutes of application
  • An individual can save with Senti and withdraw the money when they need
  • One can purchase airtime through Senti
  • No presentation of several document apart from ID card to be granted a loan
  • No guarantor or collateral need to be granted a loan
Disadvantages of Senti loans
  • Loans are offered at a high interest rate
  • If a loan is defaulted, a customer may be listed on CRBs
  • A lateness fee is added to the loan after the repayment days elapse
  • An individual receives several calls as a reminder about an outstanding loan(s)
How to repay Senti Loans via MPesa
  • Go to SIM tool kit on your phone
  • Select Lipa Na Mpesa, the Paybill
  • Enter Senti Paybill number - 517910
  • Enter your phone number as account number
  • Enter your mobile money PIN number and submit
