A gang armed with pangas early Saturday morning killed 9 cows and injured 11 more on the border of Uriri and Ndhiwa sub-counties. The attack, which police say left 11 homes counting losses estimated at Ksh.850,000, is believed to have occurred between 2.30am and 5am. “So gory were the injuries that some cattle were left for the dead with chunks of intestines seeping from their bellies,” read a police statement. Senior police commanders and investigators have already visited and documented the scene in a bid to establish the motive and mystery of the crimes.
