Over 150 million trees were planted on Monday - Mwaura
So far, a total of 10,794,604 trees have been documented in the Jaza Miti App.

Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura has said the country planted over 15 million trees during the National Tree Growing Day.
"The manual tallying as of November 14, 2023, shows that the country planted over 150 million trees," he said in a press address on Monday.
Mwaura added that so far, a total of 10,794,604 trees have been documented in the Jaza Miti App.

"The Ministry is therefore calling upon all stakeholders to support the tree growing programme to achieve our 500 million trees short rains target."
The spokesperson added that the tree-growing program targets to restore 10.6 million ha of forest.
