I was in highschool. The HM told is we will not be getting bread daily coz of the war.

The price of oil went through the roof destabilising the economy plus cost of production, inflation etc etc...
I was also in high school and I have vivid memories of 'black rain' falling in Nairobi caused by the burning oil fields in Kuwait.
Very scary time that was....
