Dealing with anti blacks negativity

Ramiran

Elder Lister
Jews have been singled out and hated upon, expelled from countries and exterminated at industrial scale (ww2) etc.

They still manage to bring up well adjusted descendants who go on to live normal lives or even excel and do patentable/nobel prize stuff.

What can the Nyeuthi learn from the Jews about:

A. bringing up children in a world that has some hate directed specifically at the group of people they are part of

B. e.g when a young jew grows up and starts going into the world and meets blatant or subtle anti-Semitism, it does not take them by surprise or shock or confuse them. They have undergone psychological preparation tangu ututoni and part of that preparation is specifically to counter the negativity directed at Jews.

What kind of anti black racisim preparation information does the average "educated" nyeuthi parent pass on to his kids ? (What was passed to you ?)

The truth is that there exists anti blacks negativity globally, and it has consequences such as 98% of Africans going through life having accepted they are inferior to other races.

Why isn't there anything in our education syllabus (even CBC) that positively re affirms and specifically educates nyeuthi children to counter the global anti blacks negativity they are surely going to encounter ?

Ni hayo to kwa sasa.

Asanteni.

Knowledge is indeed power and studying history points out the black race as one equal, if not better than other races.
We were, are and should always remain a proud people despite the difficulties, whether natural, self and others' inflicted that we have endured over time. Not only were we the cradle of mankind but the resilience allowed us to move out and establish kingdoms in far-flung areas which still stand to this day while enjoying life in the simple and the complex.

Anyway, there are other theories as to why in this day and age, we seem to be lagging behind. One of them is well captured here...

There is also quite provoking info such as

But books written by Africans are the best source of such knowledge.

Thus I'd say the first thing is knowing thyself and seeking to build your own than clamoring that of others and viewing them as being superior.

Black people aka bonobos like to bury their heads in the sand and assume that they are okay, everyone will love and accept them when they migrate to a new land etc.

Because blacks are not a homogenous group with common ancestry and, therefore, history.

I agree. It has to start by accepting ourselves and building each other.
We have a long way to go.

Has anyone else noticed that for example advertisements meant for Kenyans who are predominantly dark skinned tend to use actors who are lighter skinned?

It goes like this, ads like to associate their products with beauty, for the African a beautiful personal is one who looks most muzungulike.

E.g in .ke an ugly shapeless light skinned woman gets married fasta fasta and the objective is to have light skinned kids. A beautiful shapely light skinned woman with strightened muzungutized hair and all other muzungu doidoz is the dream of every nyeuthi male.

It is this kind of deeply rooted inferiority complex that we need a whole subject in schools, to undo among the entire population.

The global anti blacks negativity affects all black people regardless of their different ancestries.

So your point is inapplicable in this instance.

On the contrary, if you took time to put it in the context of cradle education you would have realized there's no way the diverse black people could have a common teaching to prepare the race to cope with racism in adult life. Judaists, Hindus and to an extent muslims are able to intertwine religious and cultural education giving their offspring an identity and sense of belonging unlike the myriad black peoples, each with their own form of folk education (or none).

I agree. Reprogramming is needed from day dot.
It pains me that this day and age bleaching one's skin is still a thing 😢
