The National Police service will distribute about 10,000 tablets to officers to enable citizens record statements and reports in the field as they roll out the Digital Occurrence Book.
The Digital OB will first focus on Nairobi before being rolled out nationwide.
The use of technology to record reports will ease case management, ensure proper management of crime since the system will be able to analyze the prevalent crimes in each station area.
This will inform proper planning and deployment of resources and police officers will now be more accountable.
