Bifacial solar panels.

I am not a Futurama fan .
I have been collecting data on two strings of panels .
Four bifacial panels - rated 620 watts each in series on a roof with the ordinary shiny mabati with no paint
Four bifacial - rated 620 watts each in series on box profile with maroon paint .

The installation is in Kanjuku in Githunguri. The cool weather and the reflection on the ordinary mabati is making the yield on the four panels sometimes exceed the rated power and most of the time hovering at around 575 watts per panels .
Panels on the roof with box profile have a lower yield compared to the first set and never gets rated power output . The max output is around 570 watts .

If you decide to go for bifacial panels ensure the base is reflective you can even paint the area white or if on a ground mount ensure something reflective /bright is spread . A white plastic sheet will improve things by a big margin .

It's also important to have a decent charge controller .Avoid the cheap all in one hybrid inverters .
