Are we as a Nation prepared for this?

Tiiga Waana

Elder Lister
If there is a lesson that many nation states learnt from the Pandemic, it is the importance of forward planning and intelligent logistics in fighting and managing catastrophes.
Running health and other public services in a business-as-usual version without thinking outside the box has proved not just disastrous but also a recipe for countless unnecessary deaths.

Now, you may be wondering where all this is leading to and why we are not getting there sooner but sincerely and truly speaking, this is my roundabout way of reminding you, Honourable Senators, that in a few short months our nation will be facing pandemonium, chaos and confusion in the name of elections.
Election periods in Kenya are in many ways equivalent to a pandemic as so many lives are needlessly lost, lots of damage to properties occurs and many livelihoods are destroyed, some for good never to ever surface again.

Today and as of now however, I want us to focus and concentrate our attention on one issue which I think the Kenya Government is morally and legally bound to act on in preparedness and readiness.
As you all know by now farasi ni wawili in this contest. Unfortunately the adherents of both UDA and AZIMIO have become radicals and fundamentalists ready and willing to fight to the bitter end.
My concern is that I foresee many self induced deaths and suicides when the umpire finally tally the ballot and crown the deserving winner.

Minister Kagwe should therefore mandate KEMSA to purchase and stock on Suicide Watch equipment such as straitjackets, padded beds and padded seats. Every hospital should also build a floor to ceiling padded ward for the would-be victims.
I have a nagging feeling that the most suicides will be in Central Kenya where folks are still in denial that Baba will be the 5th come 9th August.
May all those in support of this motion shout aye!

I don't think you wrote what you meant to communicate. Kizungu ni ngumu sana. Inaonekana nguruwe amejikaanga Kwa mafuta yake mwenyewe.

Where is my English wanting or lacking here? Can you point it out here please? I do like people who criticise constructively and not just because they are perennially angry and mad about themselves.

And by the way, what is your problem and other people’s English? This is the third time you are so hung up with my English!
A big pity really as intelligent people discuss ideas behind words without wasting time and energy on non-issues.

I meant what I wrote and shouldn’t be misconstrued. I expect you to respect my right to my opinion as I wholeheartedly do yours.

Cheer up and quit being angry, hostile and confrontational na uweke siasa kwa lungs. Even Ruto himself behaves and speaks very graciously.

Please, sometimes little is more than enough. Summarize your replies for my sake.
