I’m personally just glad that we’re openly having serious conversations, and even disagreements, about how to move forward with tackling human-induced climate change. The fact that people are discussing it seriously means they're acknowledging that it’s real and not just a hoax. It’s a start. Scientists, activists and indigenous groups should keep pressing governments.
At least we're also investing heavily in renewable energy, expanding geothermal, wind and solar power to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions from fossil fuels. Maybe, one day, operating an electric vehicle in Kenya will be convenient enough for widespread adoption.
