Elder Lister
After Evans Monari wrote his own obituary before passing away - https://kenyanlist.net/index.php?threads/evans-monaris-own-eulogy.21712/ here's another gut-wrenching one by the late Janet 'Jano' Bett Karoney.

Grab some tissues coz this is a hard one to absorb...

hapo kwa donors ni sad sana.. very few people of African descent want to donate anything..
In the UK.. kuna watu wengi sana with sickle cell anaemia.. karibu wote ni Waafrika.. or their descendants... they need blood transfusion very often.. shida huwa kumatch damu yao exactly juu Waafrika hata damu hawapeani aisee..

very sad, shows you how life is fickle, within hrs after burial only your family will remember you or think about you, to the rest you'll cease to exist, my mantra is usually cherish my life .

Juzi tu there was the other story of the lady who who had had her leg(s?) amputated. It was really moving. But it is Janet Kanene Ikua's story that really touched me the most.

Sample this...

It's actually sobering. Once at a workshop/team building, this speaker challenged us to write our own life story and it brings a lot of perspective bro..
Facing oneself is the most difficult thing one can do but it is the path to self knowledge and wisdom.
