How is the militarization of city hall connected to the senate.

Today opposition in the National Assembly has come to an end. For the next two years, whatever Jubilee want to pass in the parliament will pass. That includes the recent proposed taxes which will absolutely pass considering the huge loans the government has taken including the recent 7 billion from the IMF for 'Coronavirus mesures'.

But what I am more keen on is the battle for Nairobi that has been retarded by Ruto friendly members of the national assembly. Murkomen was on record just last week questioning why the military were being given charge of a civilian docket. What is the reason behind it? Is it even constitutional?

Why are they going after Sonko so hard? Why is the Metropolitan Service so important for Uhuru? Why is taking over Nairobi so important for Uhuru? How are the demolitions in Kariobangi connected to Uhuru's business interests? Will the MS be used to funnel money and provide protection for those interests?

The country is being divided while a majority of people watch it like it is entertainment.

Too much innuendo, speculation without hard facts. My opinion not spinning for anyone.

Some of us who last voted in 2007, can only watch while eating popcorns.

how does that make you feel good?

You think if taxes are increased then you will not be affected because you did not vote?
You think if funds get stolen then you will not be affected because you did not vote?
You think if the government fails to test and properly fight covid-19 then you will not be affected because you did not vote?
You think when local industries are killed then you will not be affected because you did not vote?

At least in the previous term we actually had an opposition. Did Raila forget Uhuru was building a tunnel of death or that the billions from the Eurobond are unaccounted for.

It was an opposition in theory, but Uhuru could still have his way whenever he wanted to. It is also quite interesting to see guys who saw the opposition rants as noise and distractions now calling for them to come back. The disgruntled Jubilee senators and MPs can now offer an alternate vision and hold "Wanjohi" to account so that the country sees the kind of leaders they can make. In fact they are best placed to leak the dirt since they are former insiders. Siasa na shifting principles.. :D

Greed! Those in government steal at every opportunity while those in opposition salivate. Massive plunder by team tangatanga and never ending political drama forced the presidents hand into BBI.

Secondment of military staff to other civilian organisations is not militarization. Kibaki did it previously deployed a general to head the police force. The issue is getting a team that can land on its feet and clear up the mess as fast as possible. We should be talking about their qualifications. They will not be running the city using the military rules. Will they?

mimi I have only ever voted once... 2002 Narc... now that was a colourful election. .. nakumbuka tulikunywa wiki nzima
I have only voted twice 2002 and 2007, lost my ID a day before 2013 elections and realized how liberating it is not to vote, I have never looked back.

if there was a realistic chance of a new comer not related or aligned to these thieving dynasties then nitaamka saa tisa kupiga kura
The only problem the sheeple won't be with you :D, their emotions are under lock and key of the dynasties, that's why silly sounding campaign mantras like 'tano tenor' 'vindu vichengagwa' 'Agwas kende' and the likes easily excites their emotions.

But I hope they will run the city with military discipline.
