What matters is under what terms the investors come to operate, and the agreements you make regarding taxation, remittances of profits, etc.

We as Kenyans do not have enough serious capital to do significant FDI. Unfortunately, because of desperation and poor leadership, we're often pushed into FDI agreements that disadvantage us. Look at the SGR arrangements, for example.
