I wonder why as a country we let criminals get away with simple straight forward crime.Take for instance. Last year, my own mum was stupified and her mpesa wiped clean to a number that is still active today. They took her visa card, withdrew cash from bank and the faces were clearly captured by bank CCTV. The footage is there. Along the highway, the vehicles they were using...the registration was captured. Imagine a whole DCI officer telling us that they summoned.the registered owner to a police station and he never showed up. It's now one year down the line.
Safaricom MPesa statement showed clearely who received the money from her mpesa. At the bank ATM, the faces were as clear as day light. Numerous visits to DCI offices yielded nothing, just endless come tomorrow. How can DCI under such a crime with clear leads , fail to arrest simple criminals. Cases of stupification are now in the villages. This morning, another one has happened, they have transferred all cash to an Mpesa number and walked away.
