And then what do they do?
I don't understand your question. Did you click the link?

They have been doing some really solid work around traditional medicine and bioprospecting in Kenya. Through programs like CTMDR and NAPREDA, they’re diving deep into local herbs, testing, refining, and figuring out which ones actually help with stuff like infections, inflammation, and fertility issues.
Basically, they scientifically validate traditional medicine.

On top of that, KEMRI’s been helping shape policy by advising the government on how to bring traditional medicine into the formal healthcare system, plus pushing for laws to regulate herbal products. They’ve also teamed up with local and international researchers on projects like the Zedupex herbal antiviral and a plant-based contraceptive that’s still in the works.

These efforts are helping in documenting and protecting indigenous knowledge, making sure local communities get credit and benefit from their traditions. Basically, they're bridging the gap between science and culture in a way that’s ethical and sustainable.

I mean why haven't the discoveries been announced and refined to benefit Kenyans? Considering it is building on ethnomedicine that worked before it was demonized by mzungu they should by now have come up with some meds that work and are marketed as purely Kenyan products.

Now that the plans of the day have changed and Rao's body will no longer be viewed in Parliament, but in Kasa and the crowds have breached the stadium too... how will the day end? Eh, mayooo
