Last week we crowed about how we had secured a Shs 23 Billion investment by Almasi Beverages (better known as Coca Cola).

Today they have threatened to abandon the project if the government enacts new taxes proposed in the coming Finance Bill 2024. They say the proposed taxes will raise prices of soda by 80pc and bottled water by 53pc.
