These diplomatic blunders are too many. I think it's by design. Why would anyone want to create enemies?
I also think they issue statements without deep understanding of the issue/topic before they post. Juzi, the PS couldn't even tell who he had met

The MFA mudavadi made a wild claim on twitter and had to delete the post after being corrected by a journalist.

Goofs. I can bet something valuable that Weak Leaf did not have any idea this was happening though I believe the gov had intel that may or may not have been consumed by relevant people.
