What are some cultures in Africa like?
1.Wife stealing in Niger
Wives are often stolen from each other by men of the Wodaabe tribe of Niger in West Africa. As children, the Wodaabe’s parents arrange their first marriage, which must be between first cousins from the same family
2.Malawi’s Festival of the dead
The Chewa people are incredibly among those with weird cultures in Africa. Usually, dead people are cleaned up as a typical burial process.
For the Chewa people – of Bantu origin – they slash the throat and water is poured into the deceased’s body to purify them.
3. Lip widening among Sudanese women
This culture is popular among Southern Sudan and southwestern Ethiopia tribes. When a woman reaches adolescence, she has her lower teeth removed to make room for a lip plate.
4. Bull Jumping in Ethiopia
What would weird cultures in Africa be without bull jumping in Ethiopia? Bull-jumping is a treasure for the Hamar tribe in the Omo River Valley.
5.Giving wife to guest in Namibia
Weird cultures in Africa do not leave behind the Hima Tribe of Namibia. The weirdest guest culture here is guests have free bedroom services – they sleep with your wife.
6.Whipping to earn a wife
Before tying the knot, members of the Fulani tribes practice Sharo. Grooms get some whipping in order to get a wife and respect from society. The wedding is called off if the groom isn’t strong enough to bear the beating

I usually take these stories with a pinch of salt. First Africa is really, really huuuuuuge and diverse continent. A Gikuyu is genetically as different from a Turkana as a Japanese is from a French guy, for example. So, there's nothing like 'African culture'.

Secondly, without context these stories are crap. For example, in many eastern Africa Bantu cultures a woman can marry another woman. When they are introduced they are called husband and wife! But their union is non-sexual, and the wife's duty is to get children for her female 'husband' with men out there.

But guess the spin that's given by @Aviator's LGBTDFShit crowd to this social arrangement?

Africa's rich history and culture are so diverse that it varies not only from one country to another but also within regions and countries. The culture of each ethnic group holds together the authentic social fabric of traditional practices and rites, art, music, and oral literature through which identities are built.


Mtu akisema asian cuisine or European culture , does that mean they're all the same ? Bonobo are still choking under inferiority complex.

For simplicity aliens can say world culture but we know very well they're very diverse but we all have some features in common.

Why is it okay for aliens to say worldculture but not for a nonafrican to say african culture? Why can a Kalenjin man say Kikuyu culture yet it is not homogenious as there are Kabete, Metumi and Gaki subcultures?
