Apparently IEBC has introduced two new regulations that will knock out the independents before they've gone too far-

-The 2000 supporters in each of 24 counties must give out copies of their IDs. - Very few Kenyans are willing to give out IDs.
48000 A4 photocopies of IDs are like 96 reams of paper or a pickup truck load. How IEBC hopes to verify these from all the candidates...


-The supporters must not be registered as members of any political party - In a country where people have been registered for political parties without their knowledge getting those not registered is a tall order...

Remember process can lead to nullification.
 
Shida ni if they are introducing other requirements outside those stipulated in the constitution, they are setting themselves up for nullification.
Even if these new requirements are within the electoral laws,it's a clear set up for nullification for the very reason @Mwalimu-G has post.
And given the "type of candidates" we have this time round,chances of things going south increase with every new requirement by IEBC

There is time for someone to go to court and have that requirment thrown out.
