It's crazy, but the United States is collapsing right in front of our eyes, but most of us can't see it because its happening in slow mo. In 2020, more Americans died of gun-related injuries than in any other year on record: 45,222.
To put that in perspective, its like Kenya losing 6,000 people to bullets each year (Here the estimate is 600, including police shootings).
But that's not the worst of it.
Around 101,300 Americans died of opiod abuse in the 12-month period ending June 30, 2021, at a rate of 277 deaths per day.
This is the highest number ever to die of the drugs.
Wrap you head around those numbers. If it was Kenya, that would be 35 people per day dying of opiod drug abuse.
