MOMBASA COUNTY, MOMBASA SUB COUNTY, MAKUPA POLICE STATION. SUBJECT: INCIDENT REPORT. Refer STAPOL MAKUPA OB.NO.41/11/12/2021 at around 1500hrs. It was reported by Hezekiel Gikambi C/O 0722 358448, Maurice Kinyua C/O 0722 847297 that today at around 1145hrs within Majengo Red Brick area MAP REF 723050 2km's East of the station they were attacked by a swarm of bees while on board M/V reg.no. KDG 865B make Subaru forester black in colour being driven by John Muthine Mutwiri a middle aged Meru adult who is a staff at KRA investigation and enforcement department. The bees entered the vehicle and they alighted to get safety outside. They all ran to different directions. The said driver was overwhelmed by the bee stings and fell at a nearby garage where through the assistance of the garage owner one Mwaruwa Chikophe C/O 0722 847297 he managed to get a Tuk Tuk and rushed him to Coast general teaching and referral hospital for treatment where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Police officers from Makupa police station rushed to the scene and took appropriate action. Body lying at Coast general hospital awaiting autopsy. More progress report to follow.
