Points from mombasa konyagi meeting

Circledot

Senior Lister
1. The President opened the meeting with a poll done by NIS. It showed DP William Ruto at 49%, Raila Odinga at 31% and the rest scoring 7% and 6%.

2. He therefore asked for unity between them so as
3. I cannot support you, if you are NOT united. Ffom the poll if you do not unite, WsR will even get 50+1 without the need of a second round.

4. From where I sit, the best chance you have to win is to support Raila. He seems to have a realistic chance, but only with your support.

5. Raila is 77, we can craft a binding agreement that makes him serve one term and we will use our entire system to make sure he is bound by agreement.

6. We will even discuss and share Government now, so that everyone knows exactly what they will get once the coalition wins.

7. BBI is in a good place and it will most likely go through. Also have that in your plans.

8. Kalonzo protested the one Term Narrative saying that he had done it in 2013 and 2017 in different forms. He argued it was impossible to sell the same story in his stronghold.

9. Mudavadi also weighed on saying the unity idea was acceptable, but only if Raila came down and played like an equal.

10. Mudavadi further told Uhuru to his face that he is on the ballot to the end and will not be supporting anyone..

11. OKA also said Raila had NOT announced his candidature publicly and therefore should not be considered a candidate until he does so.

12. The President reported he had already prepared two parties from Mt. Kenya to negotiate with OKA As long as they are united so as to show they are the new force to reckon with.

The President asked that the group go and reflect on the issues and they meet again in TWO weeks, after the Court of Appeal decision on BBI.

So annoyed was the OKA trio of Kalonzo, Mudavadi and Wetangula that they did not post an update or retweet State House posts on their social media.

Other Notes

1. Before Flying to Mombasa, Mudavadi met Head of Public Service, Joseph Kinyua, at Harambee House for a long time.

2. After the meeting Kinyua called at least two people to submit their documents for CAS appointments.

3. President Uhuru had earlier met Kilifi Governor Kingi at State House

4. Kingi, our agents report, is leaving ODM to form a party that will enter negotiations with OKA. In those negotiations Kingi will insist on Baba. In yet another move by Uhuru and Raila, to convince OKA to support Tinga.

5. Before the meeting Raila had requested to appear in the meeting with Oparanya so that he is not out-numbered by the OKA group.

6. Effectively Tinga who has Gideon Moi on his side had a team of three against OKA's three.

7. Raila and his team all retweeted State House posts on their Social Media.

It is so DECLASSIFIED!

If this is true, then we are caught between a rock (dynasties) and a hard place (Sugoi man) and if it comes to only those two choices, I am truly confused because kura nayo lazima tupige but kitu niko sure ni that heri nichore githeriman kwa ballot na niweke tick badala ya hawa wakora wakuu waliokutana jana

A choice of choosing the lesser evil? New Age looters vs Old Age looters

A choice of choosing the lesser evil?
Not the lesser evil, per se since I don't trust the DP that much but just tired with the failures of the current crop especially economically.
Kagame is a tyrant in his own right but he's doing great things for his people and that sort of informs my hopefully not naive stand that Ruto might be just better than the establishment.
It'd be good to have a sensible debate hapa kijijini ili tukosoane.

Given the ever threatening to run for Presidency 5 (Raila, Gideon, Wetangula, Kalonzo, Mudavadi) and whatever unholy alliance they`ll form with Konyagi vs Ruto and his new age thieving cabal (Rigathi and friends) who will you vote for?

I would have supported Kivutha like you guys but I can't from what I saw when I was seconded to arthi house during his tenure as a minister for lands.

I decided i will vote in ruto, not that he is better but just look at these old, tired crowns just waiting to be rewarded just by being tribal leaders.

I would still vote for him but looks like he's no longer running; unless I am wrong. There seems to be no credible alternative choice other than Reuben Kigame.
But you never know...maybe someone serious might rise soon and will need just 1/3 of the country backing him/her

I wish serious people can go convince Martha Karua to run for presidency, huyo anaweza angusha hizi gasia zote asubuhi mapema.
Her governance style would alienate her and would make it very difficult to pass her agenda through parliament. A president is like a mother, beating you with a mwiko to the point of death and then making you your favourite meal for supper unakula ukilia. Karua to me seems like the type to just bash you over the head and leave you for dead. Not very diplomatic.

pahali Kenya imefika, we need less diplomacy and more action.
