reality is big chunk of Kenyans are poor

2017 there are people who voted Uhuruto to drive Raila to Bondo. Not sure how that is coming along for them. Free advice to you. If that's the reason for voting Ruto, you'll be disappointed.
Indeed. In 2002 2007* we voted Kibaki and Jakuon forced himself into government via skirmishes. People wonder why Raila is hated in central. He destabilizes governement, retards economic activities with his goons, just because he doesn't want to be out of government.
Uhuru has lost his popularity on the ground because of killing the economy. It is nothing new in central even for one of our own.

This is another lie. During Kibaki's first term, In 2004 and 2005 the economy was so bad people were saying afadhali wakati wa Moi. Kibaki didn't lose popularity because of that.

the whole campaign according to uhuru was to send him home....it was a narrative driven from the top

Sasa ona ile upusss nawambianga.
Jomo, Obako or Ouru hve and will never be one of your own, or rather, you will never be one of theirs.
With such reasoning, consider abstaining from sex and voting.
Wewe na Mwalimu G must be cut from the same cloth, because you always think with your emotions before engaging your brain. Ebu itisha maziwa hapo umalize hiyo pombe umezoea kukunywa asubuhi so you can think straight. Meffi.

This is a lie. The economy was battered since 2016. In 2017 we all knew the economy had gone to the dogs. But he was voted en masse in 2017. Uhuru lost popularity because of handshake with Raila.
In 2013 the Uhuruto wave was due to ICC and the idea that Raila was the reason why Uhuru was there so he couldn't vie for the presidency.
In 2017 the only thing people could see was the SGR etc. And in any case, even though there might have been alternatives, the same 2 main horses were still in the field. Also Maraga was framed as a Raila sympathizer and hence the wembe ni ule ule that followed to make the Jubilee win certain.

This is disingenuous and you know it. Even the person who takes over after 2022 will have the same issue. It will take most of the first term to set the economy on the path to recovery. If only we had another Kibaki. Right now we are gambling. If you think Raila is the one to turn our fortunes around vote for him. For me, I don't think Raila is the one and I really think Ndii's bottom up policies will help stimulate the economy. That is the gamble I am taking.

Don't be like those people who think when one criticizes Ruto then automatically he's a Raila supporter and vice versa. Some of us want Raila, Uhuru, Ruto, Kalonzo etc to all go home. The person to turn our fortunes are the likes of Martha Karua, Kibwana Mukhisa Kituyi.

evidence?

I figured since you used to support him back in the day, then you still do.
The other question is, do you think those two candidates are strong enough to send both Raila and Ruto home?

The easiest way to improve on tax collection is to lower the taxes on inputs. That way, economic activity is spurred then unangojea huko mbele you tax the outputs. At least that is what normal economies do. The way our economy works is that we tax inputs to death then wait for some miracles to happen ndio business men walipe output tax.

The other candidates are not strong. But personally am voting with my conscience.
That is better than refusing to vote. I am with you 100%. The only unfortunate consequence of voting for an unpopular candidate is it really doesn't change the overall outcome. You voted for Ekuru but here we are years later suffering, conscience be damned.
