Do you agree with the OP or the reply?
I think I am going to start a school before 2030, it is preposterous how much of mzungu-nonsense we still impose on ourselves, we are a long way from freedom.
School is social club for your kid. The last thing you would want your kids to worry about is that they are less fashionable than their peers at that very impressionable age.Is it a public school?
What does hair have to do with anything educational? Why do we have hair rules? I usually shave Jordan (uliza fossils hiyo ni nini). Can my son do the same, shaving twice a week? Could my daughter do it too now that you agree my son can do it?
Some rules are made to be broken!

Focus should be on intellectual development, they can worry about the rest as grown adults.
It's not perfect, but uniformity helps level the playing ground
It's totally hypocritical for schools to claim they want uniformity while rich parents and politicians are given dias seats during school events.
1. Rules za shule zifuatwe, its complicated to give one kid an exemption
2. But then again, we should introspect and find out why we have some rules Tusiwe mbuzi ati just because mzungu alisema kipii anyoe nywele and girls to straighten or plait theirs inorder to be admitted, lazima we retain the rules
60 plus years tumekuwa kondoo! When did Mzungu say that? We are 60 years from the time when they called the shots.
