Central Division, Kamukunji Police Station. Shooting incident reports. Today the 2nd January at around 9.30hrs one No. 116639 pc Lawrence Ewoi attached to QRU central division outside kamukunji police station disagreed with his colleagues over some undisclosed issues and shot his colleagues indiscriminately where No. 104939 Pc(w) Mourine Achieng was seriously shot before being rushed to Knh where she was pronounced dead on arrival, No. 118190 Pc George Gitonga was shot on the left arm and was rushed to hospital in stable condition. Suspect ran away from the scene and he is still at large and last location was within shaurimoyo Burma area. Progress report to follow.. officers should be on watch out so that this rogue officers doesn't harm others.

Team involving all central police officers were mobilised by the Regional commander, OCPD central involving kps and Dci officers with the help of safaricom tracking device suspect was traced within shauri moyo,industrial area,muthurwa,country bus and later kamukunji police station at around 11:15pm Gate B where the suspect was confronted by officers but he started firing towards officers who returned fire and the suspect was shot on the leg n order to be arrested and on sensing danger he shot himself and died instantly.

G3 firearm serial no 9708663.with 11 rds of 7.62mm were recovered from the suspect.scene cleared by scene of crime and body moved to city morgue.
