was witnessed today in Migori County after worshipers from rival groups in the legio maria religion fought over the church leadership.
According to sources the two groups met after a group led by Raphael Andika made its way to the churches main office where all hell broke loose.
It's alleged the two groups started fighting immediately as they threw stones towards the pastors car who was forced to take to his heels.
After hours of confrontation the riots police from Migori County toured the area and this is when things went south.

Sources have it after the police arrived the worshipers started running battles with the officers where five were left dead with the officers alleged to have been using live bullets towards them.
Its alleged the worshipers also set car on fire after the confrontation and some police officers were also injured
After the riots several were left nursing serious injuries and among them was the church leaders Raphael Andika who faced the full wrath of the angry worshipers.
The bodies of the dead were taken to Migori County hospital as more investigation into the riots are conducted.
Police have requested worshipers to use better ways to solve church wrangles other than engaging
