When choices have consequences

You're waking up to the news that the Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) has cautioned the Gov't about the growth of Tanzania as an alternative route for petroleum products for landlocked countries who, previously, had been relying on on the pipeline running through Kenya into the East African hinterland for their oil and other related products.

The news comes hot on the heels of a concerning revelation that Rwanda, Burundi, The Democratic Republic of Congo and our relatives in South Sudan have sounded an advance warning that they will join Uganda in considering their oil dealings with Kenya, after some characters in the Council of Economic Advisors at State House Kenya told off the Gov't of Uganda that they can direct their oil through the Port of Dar for all we cared, and we won't lose a thing because this Gov't was chosen by God even if all indicators point to a contrary reality. In other El Nino related news, it's now emerging that the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) grassroots elections that were scheduled for December were postponed due to lack of interested candidates to apply for the available positions from the polling stations upwards.

According to THE STANDARD today, UDA Party officials who sought anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter, said in Nyeri County, home of the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, only 500 candidates had registered before the November 2nd deadline against the more than 2,800 positions that were up for grabs.
According to UDA officials on the ground in Mt Kenya, they have been finding it difficult convincing residents that your favourite God chosen locust still means well for their interests, after the loss of public trust occasioned by the high cost of living that is currently threatening the life of their businesses, the sustenance of their livelihoods, and their entire community's existence.

If it took Rigathi Gachagua exactly 12 days to blame Uhuru Kenyatta for the lack of policy ideas to turn around the economy of Kenya after their swearing in, calculate the amount of time it will take him to blame Uhuru Kenyatta for the diminishing popularity of the UDA Party in Mt Kenya Region.
