CNN is calling Tucker Carlson Putin's friend. Damage control mode activated, because they won't be in control of the narrative. Perhaps thet are mistaking him for the person they sent to interview Zelensky.

Putin says Russia is always ready to negotiate to end the war, but Zelensky has issued a decree against negotiations.

The war could have ended more than a year and a half ago when they began the negotiations in Instanbul. The head of the Ukrainian delegation put his signature on some of the provisions in the document, but Boris Johnson came and convinced the Ukrainians to abandon the negotiation process.

Thousands of lives and properties would have been saved if Boris Johnson, and the West by extension, had not interfered with the peace process. And billions of others around the world wouldn't have felt the effects of the war on their wallets.
 
Putin makes the case for a large population. China overtook the US long ago in terms of purchasing power so the US is worried about future dynamics. There was a time everyone wanted to sell to the US market. Now everyone wants to sell to the Chinese market.

(If Kibaki foresaw this and that is why he pushed for greater Chinese ties, then he was genius).

Putin once asked that Russia join NATO, and the US president was advised by his team to reject it. Several times, Russia asked to cooperate with Western powers, but the deep state who actually run things in govt convinced their presidents to reject it.

The global elites need a boogeyman in the global stage (like Raila in kenya) that they can use to justify unreasonable actions that will earn them wealth and control over the masses.
