One of the biggest decisions that the new administration will grapple with is that of education and whether to continue with the current trajectory or not. It is a decision that has to be made quite quickly before its effects become permanent confusing a lot that is still grappling with the effects of the lockdowns on their education.

How many of you support its abolishment and how many think it is the right trajectory? what are your reasons? Change is indeed difficult and probably Kenyans are jumping the gun before giving the new curriculum a chance?
 
It won't be easily abolished since just like the digital migration of TV, there is a global push to have variants of CBC as the universal system of education. That ship, unfortunately might have sailed.
What is key now is to mould the system to fit our Kenyan reality and make sure that it doesn't favour the those with kakiru while being a disadvantage to the poor among us.

If you listened the meeting they had with people from the education sector, they ended up softening their stance. I think everyone recognizes we can't move from one extreme to the other.

They have to find a way to improve it so it becomes affordable for parents.
 
What do they do with those youngsters ?
Education experts must sort the mess
