Nigeria commits to supplying 850,000 tons of natural gas annually to Germany, with projections indicating an increase to 1.2 million tons. The initial shipments are scheduled for 2026, the statement confirmed.
A second MoU was also signed between the Union Bank of Nigeria and Germany’s DWS Group, where Germany committed a $500m (€459.9m) investment in Nigeria’s renewable energy and technology projects. The projects will be set up mostly in rural communities and aim to bringmore people into the formal economy.
Yani instead of nigeria developing through the natural gas which we are told are bad for the ozone layer, they ship it to germany and left with promise to invest in renewable energies which are not reliable.
If Germany was an honest partner, it could have develop capacity in Nigeria for it to supply rest of Africa. But they say fossil fuels are bad when only used by others not them.
