Why are we always causing problems for ourselves? Why tinker with what's not broken?

Solves the problem of school heads setting their own fees structures different from what the ministry issues. This particular circular affects national schools, which are the worst offenders.

The MoE has a whole audit department that inspects schools' books. Why not just ask them who is charging more? In any case the extra fees is charged with the consent of parents (Yes, yes, I know how that consent is obtained!). Who will pocket the convenience/inconvenience fee?

My son's school wanasema you take mwalimu motivation fee in cash or mpesa direct to class teacher

This is an efficient policy
How? Currently we just go pay direct to school account and student takes slip to school or whatsapp the bursar. I don't even have to go to town as I can use bank paybill and school is notified immediately. Why does a third party want to be involved?

I thought we were all for dismantling bureaucracies for efficiency. Now we want to introduce a service provider and other parties into a system that's working perfectly. For what reason? Charity?

Perfectly for the ones depositing or the ones withdrawing?

That 50/- convenience fee is the issue. Looks like someone is aiming to pocket over a billion shillings from that alone.
Also, IDs now have an expiry date.

Is it a hotline to report excess fees demands?
More like monitor, remember this thread where all of you were complaining of being exploited?
