They are an independent country and shouldn't care about what the UN thinks.

The likes of Ilhan Omar are angry that they had to flee Somalia while Somaliland managed to create a stable society

Ilhan is one of the Somali Weyn romantics who have recently been dreaming of an empire that stretches from Eritrea to the Mountains of the Moon. They see independent Somaliland as an impendiment to the unity needed for the feat.
