Deputy President William Ruto has been kicked out as Jubilee's deputy part party leader.

At the same time, President Uhuru Kenyatta has been elected the Jubilee Party leader for another term of five years.

This means that the president will be actively involved in the August 2022 general election.

Also picked are new national officials including Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni who will take over from Raphael Tuju as secretary-general.

Powerful Jubilee honcho David Murathe has been retained as the deputy vice-chairman under Nelson Nzuya.

Kitutu chache North MP Jimmy Angwenyi is one of the four Jubilee deputy party leaders.

Others are Katobu Ngatobu, Naomi Shaban and Peter Mositet.

Kieni MP Kanini Kega is the Jubilee party director of elections.

The president told Ruto that he will write history as the first country where a government united with the opposition.

"I heard one person saying that there is nowhere in the world where a government unites with and supports the opposition," Uhuru said.

He went on: "Kenya will be the example, we are mature enough to distinguish between politics and the needs of the people,.'

The president said ODM boss Raila Odinga and other opposition leaders had helped him to extinguish the fire in Jubilee.

"If they helped me extinguish the fire when my house caught fire. I say thank you for helping me put out the fire," Uhuru said.

He went on: "When you have someone whom you shared responsibly almost down the middle but he absconds, and you have someone who comes and helps you when your house is on fire, who is a better neighbor?' Uhuru posed.

As uhuru said today you can't have someone sharing 50% of your govt and is opposing you daily and shooting down your agenda in bunge. Afadhari jirani baba anakusaidia kuliko huyo ndugu yako roho chafu trying to bring you down daily.
